We will be making the second attempt to convene the "Measuring the Invisible" event, which on the previous occasion in February was postponed due to the vicissitudes of Storm Doris. Full details of the meeting now rearranged to 2nd November 2017 are included on the next meetings page.
Full details of this meeting are also included in the next meetings section of the site and will be included in the next E-newsletter. This meeting will include a presentation by Jo Clark Wilson who is a brain injury case manager and care expert with Head First. She will be discussing the invisible conditions that brain injury can involve and how new research has influenced the approach to these. This should be a fascinating and thought provoking discussion and we hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend.
Full details of the meeting are included in the next meeting section of the website and will appear in the E-newsletter which will be circulated in October. The meeting will include a discussion on the perfect care pathway from professionals involved at each stage. Naturally we would welcome input from all stakeholders. In particular we would like to hear from brain injury survivors and their families as to their experience of the treatment/rehabilitation pathway.
EABIF are pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Brooks has joined its steering group. Jenny is the consultant clinical psychologist at Brain Injury Services, Elm Park. She attended her first meeting yesterday and the group are delighted that she brings to us her wealth of experience and support.
